Take a right at the rainbow bridge...

...and if you get lost, ask the squirrel for directions.

This is my second piece for Acidfree Gallery's Myth's and Monsters show opening this Friday, July 27th. I wanted to do a piece based on cosmology of Norse mythology and the nine homeworlds unified by the world tree Yggdrasill. I think my favorite part about the world of Norse myth is the squirrel named Ratatoskr who runs up and down the tree relaying insults to eagle perched atop to the dragon Nidhogg below.

This print along with my other "Have You Seen Me?" will go on sale this Friday, July 27th at 12:30pm EST. Click here to purchase one! Below are all the details about the print...

1/1 Commission for Charity

I am doing a 1/1 commission that is now up for bidding on ebay.com. Please spread the word, it's for a good cause. Here's the link and all the details from the lisiting below...

Up for bid is a one of a kind commissioned piece of art by Dave Perillo.

All proceeds of this auction will go to the Officer Christopher Reeves Fund. Officer Reeves (Millville Police Department, NJ) was killed in the line of duty on July 8th during a vehicle pursuit, in which the accused vehicle fled police, after striking another patrol car. The pursuit ended when the accused vehicle broad-sided Officer Reeves patrol car on the driver’s door, killing him instantly. Officer Reeves leaves behind a wife, Sue, who is also a Millville Police Officer, and a two year old son, Alex. Officer Reeves and I had worked on the same shift for the last two years prior to him going to the midnight shift two weeks before his tragic death. Officer Reeves was truly a wonderful man and a very good friend.

A few days ago I contacted Dave Perillo and asked if he would be able to donate a few existing pieces that we could auction off for the family.  Dave took it one step further and asked what I thought about auctioning off a commissioned piece, with the winner choosing whatever they wanted him to design.  Of course I accepted and was ecstatic that Dave would take the time out of his crazy schedule to do something like this for someone he did not know.
Winner will receive:
1 – 16X20 inch print on Archival Paper signed by Dave
1 – Hi-Res File of the designed art
Dave will do a commission of whatever you want (comic, movies, TV shows, your family dog…you name it*)
*With some limitations, so don’t ask him to draw every single Marvel character having tea with every DC character.  Try to keep your request to no more than 10 characters. Nothing explicit.
Please allow a few weeks for Dave to complete your art.  Remember, he is a very busy man and is taking the time to do this for a good cause.

ParaNorman

This is a poster I did through Mondo for Laika Films upcoming movie "ParaNorman" that will be released in theaters August 17th. Myself, along with some other great artists, were commissioned to make these posters that are now being used as a viral marketing campaign. They are being hung up in cities across the US, and if you see one you can just take it!

Feel the Wrath of the Super Rad!!!

And if we die before the battle's through, tell your mom, tell your dad we were super rad!
-The Aquabats (Super Rad!)

"Super Rad" was the first song I had ever heard of The Aquabats back in 1997 and I was instantly a fan for life. They are one of my favorite bands and I have seen them multiple time in concert. If you've never been to one of their shows I highly recommend it, it'll probably be the most fun you'll ever have at a concert.

Well because of a interview I did with the awesome site Blurppy.com I got the opportunity to do a poster for the Bats. This will be debuting at SDDC and will be available at the Toddland booth #3449. The Bats will be on hand at the booth Saturday July 14th from 11am  - 1pm for a signing and if any posters are left they will be available at their show at the House of Blues in San Diego later that night. Oh, and there will also be a Sandfleas Vandalized Variant edition, FYI: Sandfleas are one the enemies of the Aquabats.

Hey Kids, It's the Aquabats!
3-color screenprint • Signed and numbered edition size 150 • $25.00

Sandfleas! Vandalized Variant Edition

Who's your friend when things get rough?

Here is one of the two projects I have debuting at SDCC this year, I was super excitied to work on this as it was officially given the thumbs up by Sid and Marty Krofft. HR Pufnstuf and their other shows were a huge part of my TV watching as a kid and getting to do something based off their characters is totally wild.

There are two versions of the poster a regular and variant, and will be available starting 7/11 Wednesday night, at the Huckleberry booth #3449 on a first come first serve basis. Sid and Marty will be in attendance on Saturday 7/14 at the booth to do a signing from 2 til 4pm.

HR PUFNSTUF (regular edition)
7 color screenprint • edition size of 125 • $50.00

HR PUFNSTUF (variant edition)
6 color screenprint • edition size of 75 • $75.00
