More than meets the eye...

Robots in disguise...

These are my pieces for the upcoming Autumn Society 80's toy themed show at Brave New Worlds Comics in Philly. The 80's was a glorious decade for toys, It was a time when parents would get into fist fights at 6 in the morning, freezing outside a Kiddie City a week before Christmas so they could grab a preemie Cabbage Patch Kid or a Soundwave Transformer for their little girl or boy, and Santa would get all the credit. I loved my Star Wars and GI Joe toys, but Transformers was awesome & let's face it, Gobots sucked...

This was no boating accident...

This is the first of two pieces I did for this years Crazy 4 Cult show at Gallery 1988. I was so stoked to do a Jaws print, it's one of my favorite movies. It's one of those movies that if I see it on TV i must watch, even though i've seen a ton of times and I could just pop in the DVD, but there's definitely something cool about catching it on TV. Plus, this year is the 35th anniversary of the film and it being summer right before the 4th of July really puts me in the mood for Jaws.

This will be available through the gallery starting July 9th, it's a 11" x 17" limited edition of 55 signed and numbered 5 color screenprint done by the fine folks at D&L Screenprinting who in my opinion are the absolute best in the business for screenprinting. I will post the other piece closer to the show, it quite scrumpdiddleumptious (hint, hint.)...

El Payaso...Lo que te rĂes?

This is "El Payaso the Luchador" a Circus Punk I did for an upcoming show called "Clowntastrophe". Below is all the info about the show...

----------------

"Clowntastrophe!" Art Event was created in 2006 by painter PaulPalcko and fashion icon PsyddeDelicious, from their mutual love of Clowns. The shows are held annually at Delicious Boutique in Philadelphia, PA.

"Clowntastrophe!" is about the Circus and Sideshow tradition. Part art show/ part history lesson, the art is visual interpretation of the historic aspects of the American traveling shows, the gritty dirt roads...and some distorted memories involving clowns.

True Blood commission

Did this piece of Sookie & Eric, from the HBO series/Sookie Stackhouse novels, as a commission. The person requested to have the two of them together instead of her current TV vampire beau Bill...

I've never read the novels it's based on, but I absolutely love the show.

The pay's not great, but ya make your own hours...

Was inspired to do this cause of the 30th anniversary of my all time favorite film "The Empire Strikes Back" and it is kind of a companion piece to the Mos Eisley Cantina one i did a while back.

Aside from Boba Fett, these guys were only on screen for a minute or so, but oh how badass they looked!

Also, I'll be at Wizard World Philadelphia this weekend in Artist Alley at table 1240.

If you're there, swing on by and say hello! Details about the con below:
